Raiffeisenbank launched Raiffeisen Sphere well-being program

August 20 2020

The comprehensive program is aimed to improve the quality of life of employees and will combine a number of privileges and benefits existing in the bank, as well as new initiatives.

The well-being program is called Raiffeisen Sphere. It focuses on five areas of life the excellent condition of which makes employees feel better: career, financial and social well-being, psychological and physical health.

«The well-being of our employees is an important priority for us," Vladimir Khimanych, the Managing Director for Human Resources at Raiffeisenbank, emphasised. «The bank has had a lot of projects related to the concept of well-being before. Now they will be collected on a single convenient platform, and we will constantly replenish their list, relying on the feedback of employees.»

Since the beginning of 2020, Raiffeisenbank has launched several new initiatives, including vacation supplements, an e-library, and cancer insurance. During the pandemic, employees were offered regular mindfulness meditation practices, remote yoga classes, and the opportunity to get psychological assistance. Plans for the second half of the year include an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), a number of health promotion projects, and lectures and seminars on financial literacy.

A holistic employee welfare approach is common in the corporate culture of companies in the United States and Europe. In Russia, this concept just begins to gain popularity.
