Aris Bogdaneris becomes member of Raiffeisen International’s Board ofManagement.

The Supervisory Board of Raiffeisen International Bank-Holding AG(Raiffeisen International) has appointed Aris G. Bogdaneris as newMember of the Managing Board. Aris Bogdaneris, a Canadian, will take uphis position on 1 October and will be responsible for Retail Banking,covering both individual customers and Small and Medium SizedEnterprises (SME).

"Aris Bogdaneris brings a wealth of experience in the very importantarea of retail banking. Not only is he familiar with the Central andEastern European region, having spent nearly ten years there, he hasalso a track record in building a profitable and fast growing retailbanking franchise", says Herbert Stepic, Chairman of RaiffeisenInternational''s Managing Board. Aris Bogdaneris looks forward toassuming this key position:"This is both a challenging and rewardingjob: Raiffeisen International''s object is to further substantiallyincrease its retail banking presence in each of the 15 markets itoperates." Raiffeisen International started its retail banking operationon a regional basis only in 1999 and reached profitability already thisyear despite of continuing high investments. As of end of June 2004,Raiffeisen International''s Network Banks served more than four millioncustomers.

Until recently, Bogdaneris was Chief Executive Officer of Budapest Bankin Hungary, a wholly owned subsidiary of GE Capital. Before assumingthis position, he had served as Deputy Chief Executive of Retail Bankingand Chief Operating Officer since February 2000. Before his job at GECapital Hungary, Bogdaneris worked for General Electric''s CorporateHeadquarters in the USA for four years and earlier at ABN Amro Bank andCitibank in North America, Warsaw, Budapest and Prague. The 39 year oldbanker holds a Master of Arts degree from Johns Hopkins University andis married.
