Alfa-Insurance Group and Raiffeisenbank Signed Cooperation Agreement.

Alfa-Insurance Group and Raiffeisenbank signed a cooperation agreement,under which joint promotion of wide spectrum of banking and insuranceproducts is planned. In particular, Alfa-insurance will be empowered bythe Bank to insure cars, bought on credit granted by Raiffeisenbank.

Alfa-Insurance Group’s cooperation with Raiffeisenbank started a year ago, when the Insurer was accredited to work with car-dealers, selling “Daimler-Chrysler” cars through Raiffeisenbank car loan program.

Agreement, concluded in August, is a new step in cooperationdevelopment, enabling servicing all spectrum of clients– both private and corporate, taking a loan with Raiffeisenbank for car purchase in a dealership office.

Andrej Rassvetaev, Head of“AlfaInsurance” Group special projects division commented, that taking into account, that share of cars sold on credit exceeds sometimes 40% of total sales volume the agreement is sure to provide for a new effective channel for insurance policies selling.

“Alongside with the project we plan further enhancement of cooperation in terms of joint banking-insurance products promotion. The partnership also provides for three-side mortgage and related mortgage insurance programs realization with “AlfaInsurance” Group, Raiffeisenbank and construction companies as participants,” – Andrej Rassvetaev added.

Starting October, 2001“AlfaInsurance” Group consists of OAO “AlfaInsurance”, OOO “AlfaInsurance”, OOO “AlfaInsurance-life.” The Group is a part of “Alfa-Group” consortium. The Company’s major shareholder is “Alfa -Bank”.
